Wednesday the winds really picked up mid morning from the southwest and brought in warmer weather.  By afternoon it had switched more westerly and warmed up the snow to the point it stopped drifting.  Fishing reports were mixed with 18-24 feet having the best action.  Perch as still mostly in shallower except for the deep mud areas off the rocks.  The deeper transitions have Walleye action at night, but are pretty quiet during the daylight hours.

The ice is holding it’s own but what snow there is out there is getting heavy with this warm weather.  There is some so flooding around the houses because of weight and warm temps.  Privates be prepared to block your house up and shovel an opening in each end when you leave this weekend so things can freeze up.  So far predictions are for a pretty good snowstorm next week and you will want as much as as you can get under your house.

Don’t forget to sign-up for the Lyback/TWP Tournament.  Spots are going fast.

Fishing was pretty good yesterday for most that were out there.  Perch were active and the daytime Walleye bite picked up in 20-25 feet of water.  Tullibee action was good in the Tullibee Hole also.  As always not everyone did well but that is normal I guess.

We received about four inches of snow and spent most of the day cleaning up the roads and moving houses. And will be doing the same today. Privates that are not on the lake will need to call the office and tell us their plans for the balance of the season.  If they are not going out they need to settle fees and/or remove the house by the end of February.

The Lybacks/TWP Tournament is Feb 27th. Entry fee is $50.00/person.  100% payback in prizes. Limited to 150 contestants.

Monday we received about 4 inches of snow and this week temps are remaining warm with more chances of precipitation of one form or another.   So our ice making weather is over and in the long range doesn’t look like much like cold anymore.  Currently the average depth is about 16″ which typically is not much for this time of year.

The bite was slow yesterday for most out there.  Some anglers that had been using cameras went out and then came back in an hour or so as the snow cover “darkened” the deep water to  a point where they did not work well.  The shallower water was almost the same.  Anglers had activity but it definitely was a change,

Private customers that have houses here that are not out need to contact us as soon as possible with their plans for the rest of the season. We are rearranging our storage lot and need to know.

The Lybacks/TWP Tournament is on for Feb 27th.  Entry fee is $50.00/person, 100% payback in prizes.  Sign-up at our office to get in on it.  We are halfway there with entries as of yesterday ,
