This past week the weather took it’s toll on the ice. The warmer winds and rain took it down quite a bit. Midweek after a heavy rain it turned white meaning the rain went all the way thru and it was completely honeycombed.  The remaining aerated ice was still giving it buoyancy .  Yesterday’s rain melt most of that and it started  turning dark for the last time. The aerated ice is gone and water is soaking thru to the top.  It won’t be too much longer..  If you want to see a daily progress of ice out on this area of the lake watch the web cam.

The Lyback’s Marine storefront is done and starting this next week we will be Spring Starting boats for storage customers. With the amount of boats we store there it takes awhile and there is only 4 weeks until Fishing Opener. And we will need all of that to be ready.

The Ice Fishing Barn/Office got a little farther along this past week also with the bathroom fixtures getting placed and hooked up, ADA railing installed. There is trim work this week and hand dyers to install and it should be ready for final plumbing inspection.  It’s getting a little closer….

I’ll try to keep the schedule of updating every Sunday as the summer goes…
