Yesterday we had no fishermen out so I safely say the bite was good…. you just would have had to been there.     😉

I did spend time on the ice, checking depths, and did find some improvement of the flooded/layered ice, but not enough to plow on.  Some areas have 5-8 inches of ice on top of the original ice that is flooded and until that all freezes we wait.  It is good going for snowmobiles and ATV’s with tracks , So we will continue with that over the weekend for sure.

I’m planning on checking more ice, staking what eventually will be roads to fishing areas farther out for the weekend.  Wheelhouse fishermen  will have room for parking and camping overnite in our parking area if they would like.  Storage lot will be cleared for the permanents also if they want to come up.
