The last couple days have been in the low 40’s for highs and upper 20″ for lows so not much ice making has been happening.  Yesterday afternoon with our spotting scope I looked out over the main and a few miles out there seemed to be darker spots of open water. And by looking at the Modis satellite image from yesterday, the main lake is far from being locked up, (unless all that black in the Modis photo is clear smooth ice), which it might be. Either way it’s too early to venture out in my opinion.  Next week it’s supposed to get a little colder, so we’ll see what happens.

We will not be allowing any fishermen out of our access this weekend.
