Today the wind picked up to 20-30 mph from the NW and with the cold we just stayed off the ice. By afternoon the drifting snow looked like “waves” out there with scattered drifts and flat spots in between.

Right now at 9:00pm the wind is still going and the temp is -10 so we are making ice really fast I’m sure.  Tomorrow when the wind drops we will be out checking ice, marking trails and getting things ready for the weekend for ATV/Snowmobile portable fishermen. I might even pull a couple small 8′ by 12′ rentals out with the Jeep if the ice depths allow it.  Tomorrow will tell the story of how it’s going to go.
