Yesterday we received 4-5 inches of snow. I waited for the predicted winds to pick up but they didn’t until late afternoon and they didn’t gust as forecasted so there was little or no drifting. About 8 groups went out throughout the day but I only heard from a couple when they came in. Most action was later in the day towards. evening.
Ice depths are 8-10 inches and with this snow on top now it will slow down in the ice making dept. It’s just not enough yet to really get going. so we will remain portable, ATV, Snowmobiles and Side by Sides. If you have a small wheel house weighing under 2500 lbs that you can pull with your ATV it can go. Everything else stays on shore. We a have plenty of room for parking, “Wheelhouse” camping . That’s the way we will be running until further notice.
Today we will be continuing on finding ways thru the rough ice to reefs farther out for the future. We will be Closed on Friday December 24th for Christmas Eve as that is when my family celebrates Christmas. I don’t expect much traffic on Christmas Day but we will be open.
Keep a Tight Line! Eddy
