December 30th, 2021

Yesterday I established some of the roads. Went to SE side of Graveyard, up Tullibee road to the NW side of Gull Reef,  NW Spider, South Spider Road to the south end of the Tundra, (ran into a couple cracks on thinner ice so did not complete it yet), the road to Popes and SE side of Ray’s Reef.  Plain and simple, there is alot of snow out there for the amount of ice we have. That along with the areas of rough ice we still have to deal with it’s going to be one of those years.

Today I will pulling the reserved rentals I have so the guys can get them ready. I’m going to try to establish a road to the Banana and beyond ice permitting.  Tomorrow I’m planning to pull some of the smaller private houses on the list. (You will be called if it makes it out)  It will be a slower process this year as every house put out will have and area cleared for it so it can build ice under it.  We will be checking ice on the roads established and where we spot houses so tomorrow you’ll know how much we have.  With the cold weather coming Friday/Saturday I will be keeping vehicle traffic off the roads.  So it will be OPEN for Portables, ATV, Snowmobiles, Side by Sides ONLY.  The only vehicles out there will be my trucks, rental and private customers that  got their house out, ( ONLY if their vehicle weighs LESS than 5000lbs.) Otherwise they will be riding their ATV’s also.

Until we get our paid seasonal customers permanent houses on the ice so they can fish our focus will be on them, along with my rentals.  When ice thickness permits our paid seasonal wheelhouse customers will be the first out.  Until we have accomplished that there will be no other wheelhouses going out from my access. (When we are able to accommodate more I will let you know in this report). It is my obligation to take care of those that are loyal to us and that’s what I’m going to do.

Keep a Tight Line!      Eddy
