Today the Main lake started making ice.  It started in front of us about 1/4 mile out this morning.  By this evening it was as far as you could see.  I looked at the Modis Satellite picture of this afternoon and it looked like it was pretty much all the way across.  With the cold temps and no wind I wouldn’t be surprised if it all froze by morning.

All the ice our direction is some pretty rough stuff. The first 1/4 mile looks the worse but then it seems to be alot more like ” pie plate” stuff.  We’ll see when it gets thick enough to check. And that will be a few days before that happens. Right now I do not expect for us to be open this coming weekend at all for access, even walking.

Lets hope the snow stays away for awhile.
