December 9th 2014

Today was a slower day with the bite.  Rentals did ok with the Perch and smaller Walleyes but not much for keep-able Walleyes today.  There was two guys out with tip-ups for Northerns but didn’t get to talk to them when they left. Those that stayed out last evening to this morning did well.  But at daylight they slowed.  I’m going to blame it on the barometer..

Pulled about 10 more houses and more are planned for tomorrow.  We are going to have our VIP’S out for the weekend and you will be able to drive to them.  That goes for the “privates” we have out by then also.  Ice thickness where we are going is 12-15 inches and 1/2 ton rated pickups and vehicles smaller will be able to go out.  Those with wheelhouses will need an ATV to pull them if they want to go.  Privates that aren’t going out are welcome to stay in their house on shore overnight if they choose and portable.  Where we are going there is no cracks, pressure ridges and good ice.  Roads are stakes and where we stop them is off limits for vehicles until we check it out after the weekend.  ATV traffic beyond where we stop is OK, but you will be on your own. With the new snow cover you will not be able to see where the ice changes so being cautious and checking thickness will be important if you go on your own.

I’m looking forward to a good weekend both weather wise and for the bite.  Hope to see you up here!  it will be nice to see  the season starting and customers out before Christmas!  it’s been a long time…….

Just an FYI………apparently when you “Google” us it says we are closed and when you look at our business hours they posted on there “side bar” or (whatever it is that we did not even want put up) are 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Mon-Saturday and closed Sundays.  Our hours actually are…. 7:00am-8:00pm Monday to Saturday, 7:00am-5:00pm Sundays.  (Apparently if you don’t advertise with them when they call screw with you.)

Keep a Tight Line!
