The bite is definitely at night from what I’ve seen. Both in deep and shallow spots. Rock to mud transitions, drops to 14-16 feet from shallower edges of reefs seem to be the best. Daytime Perch action in the basins from 18 to 24 feet is where they are at it seems, at least in areas we go to. Tullibee action in the Tullibee Hole has not really started yet.
The wind yesterday blew at 20-30 mph from the NW almost all day until dark. Visibility was tough once and awhile but all roads held up well as we plan them for winds like that, Today we will be cleaning things up around some of the permanets. and clearing some more wheelhouse spots.
There are two weekends left and there is a few rentals available for the last weekend, We will be moving a number of them for the upcoming weekend in late February spots we have had good fishing in the past and see what happens. All permanet and seasonal wheelhouse customers need to get accounts settled before the last weekend. Seasonal wheelhouse house customers that are storing for the summer need to contact the office and set-up summer storage or they have to be removed from our storage area on or before Feb 28th. We have a specific area for parking summer wheelhouses to make room for the permanents coming in off the ice. The office will advise you when signing up for summer storage.
Keep a Tight Line!
