Last night the temps dropped to almost – 20 and the strong NW wind really made it cold out there.  We had 3 rentals out and by reports the cold didn’t affect the bite.  They all catch Walleye.  I found it surprising as the barometer went up.

The snow was minimal and the wind was in the direction we plow for so most roads and driveways blew clear.  Today we will be out cleaning things up and reopening the almost 100 spots for wheelhouses we have established over the last couple weeks.  We still have some spots left on the list for wheelhouses over the weekend. For those that don’t already know: we limit the amount of wheelhouses out of our place. You must call ahead to save a spot, and you must be here and on the ice before dark as we do not let you out after dark to keep things quiet for those out there.  We started doing this almost a month ago now and it is gaining popularity every weekend.  Fishermen appreciate the space and the shutdown of traffic after dark. And the fishing reflects it also.

Keep a Tight Line!   Eddy
