Last night fishermen on the lake experienced the coldest temps of the season so far. Tonight might be the coldest and the end of it from what reports I’ve been seeing. And by the end of the month we might be fishing in short sleeves…
The reports from anglers as they have been checking out was that the Walleye bite was OK for some, slow for others. the better and more consistent bite was shallow. There were quite a few “linebreakers” reported. Mainly Walleye, but a couple big Pike were seen too. But you had to be quiet to get them. Even then some didn’t have any action. But after seeing the results we are going to move a few rentals in for it. When customers confirm their reservation they will be asked if they want to try it before we move them into that depth. Tullibee were biting in the Tullibee Hole and from what pictures that were sent they were nice -sized ones.
This week it will be nice to see the temps coming out of the deep freeze. Have a Happy Valentine’s Day!
Keep a Tight Line!! Eddy
