February 15th, 2015

Today the bite was a little better.  Definitely it is shallow for us.  More Perch and more Walleyes were active there than the deeper rocks.  Our Tullibee Hole is getting is showing more signs of activity also.  I’m thinking the next couple days with the cold front coming in it might slow a little, but with the weather changing for the weekend it will be back.

For those want to fish after the Walleye season closes on Feb 22nd. I’m going to spot some rentals in the Tullibee Hole  for Perch and Tullibees.  ( Bring your underwater camera if you want to catch them!), and I’m also going to go shallow with some for tip-ups and Northern fishing.  Fish for Perch in the house, and set tip-ups outside around it for Pike.  ( Could be alot of fun!)

The Lybacks/TWP Tournament is this Saturday and the prize list is looking pretty good this year.  There will be augers, Vexilar, and Lowrance electronics, Ice Force gear, ice Suits, rods and reel combos, tackle boxes, portable fish houses from Clam Corp, clothing, and much more.  It will be a good time for all attending.  Plus there will be some cash prizes for biggest fish caught in Perch, Walleye, Northern, Tullibee .  Everyone with a ticket must register and sign the waiver sheet before they can fish.   Tournament hours are 7:00 am to 4:00pm Saturday Feb 21st.  You can register starting Thursday at the office and our Office will be open at 5:00 am Saturday for same day fishermen. Weigh-in station open at 2:00pm.  Info where the weigh-in will be and rules will be given out at time of registration.  Should be a fun day!

Keep a Tight Line!    Eddy
