The Walleye bite was on the transitons again last evening and this morning, but you had to be on the right spot. Nothing fast and furious but some nice C/R pics were sent in from a couple anglers.
We made it to what we call “The Bowl” and moved four rentals in it for the weekend. We aslo moved 9 other rentals to new spots also. We will be reopening up what we call the “East Bar” gravel for the weekend also for wheelhouse traffic and plowing spots on the rock/mud transitions around that area. It seems you either go deep on the edges or go shallow for the Walleye the last week, and the basin areas in 18-24 feet are holding the Perch and daytime.
For the last two weeks of the season we going to charge half price access for the “weekend wheelhouse” people to show our appreciation and to have them stop and see the new facilities that will be available for next year’s use. Mens and Womens’s bathrooms and showers, a new office, seating for 20 and a small food counter, etc. What I was hoping to have completed for this season ran into one roadblock after another, but its getting close and I will have it ready for my daughter Andrea’s wedding reception in June. The weekend access after the $20.00 refund when you leave will be $50.00 which includes a plowed spot. Call to get on the list if interested.
Keep a Tight Line!
