This morning the snow started about 4:30 am and by noon we had about 6 inches on the ground. This afternoon there is light flurries and a strong NE wind. But looking out on the lake things are looking pretty good so far. Tonight we are forecasted to get another two to four inches and tomorrow four to eight according to the NOAA forecast for this area.
The fishermen that were out overnight came off the lake this morning before the winds picked up and there is one out there tonight. The bite was slow for those out there overnight. yesterday as fishermen were leaving there were many comments about how the barometer dropped overnight Saturday but the majority didn’t have much action. it will be interesting to see how the bite is over the next 36 hours while the snow keeps coming.
As of right now I have every intention of reopening the roads and getting wheelhouse spots and rentals dug out and available for Wednesday thru Sunday when the season closes. Those that have reserved rentals can plan on coming up unless the weather forecast flops and we get alot more snow. permanents still out there will need to call and plan to get up here this weekend to get their house ready to pull. Weekend wheelhouses can call to get on the list as usual tomorrow for the weekend as well as seasonal wheelhouse customers. Wheelhouse customers that want to store for the summer will need to sign up and pay for summer storage before leaving it. Those not signed up will need to have their house removed no later than February 28th. Keep following this daily report to see what’s going on.
This morning we pulled up into our storage lot approximately 50 permanents that we had pulled in close on the roads to shore yesterday. It will help make the last couple days after the season much easier.
Keep a Tight Line!
