February 22nd, 2019

Yesterday we cleaned up main roads, and started prepping for the last Walleye weekend. By the forecast, the storm will be to our southeast.  We will see some snow tonight,  a little freezing drizzle and snow tomorrow, and winds switching to the N-NW and blowing 15-20 gusting to 35 mph Saturday night and Sunday with temps dropping from 30 to – 10.  So the last day of Walleye season will be a tough one out on the ice.

Those renting from us and wheelhouse customers that need to get back home on Sunday should think about maybe leaving Saturday late afternoon. If the freezing drizzle doesn’t happen and we get more snow it will pretty much be a total whiteout with those winds and you might be out there until Monday morning.

All permanents on the ice must be ready to go this weekend as we are going to start pulling Monday morning. Weekly storage wheelhouses that are in our storage lots MUST be removed unless arrangements to keep it here after Monday are made at the office by this Saturday.  I plan on keeping roads open to the Tullibee hole and spots for Northern Pike fishing after the Walleye season, but the weather and amount of snow will determine how long I do.  Any one coming will have to call ahead.

Lybacks/TWP Tournament check-in will start at 6:00 am in front at the landing at the TWP wheelhouse. EVERYONE with a ticket MUST register/ sign waiver sheet and receive TWP rules before being eligible to register fish  OR receive a door prize.  Anglers MUST be present at drawing to receive a door prize.  Tournament will be over at 2:00 pm, weigh in and door prizes will be held back in the field along our driveway.

Keep a Tight Line!   Eddy
