Today we reopened all the roads with the exception to what we call the East Bar.  There is alot of snow out there once you get off the roads. Our main roads really held up well.  The east west main roads had more snow on them but reopened pretty good.  Its good we got alot of the houses, both permanents and rentals, that were out in the same spots all year off the ice before this or it would have been a big problem for some most of them.  There was very hard compacted drifts from earlier in the winter and to with the added snow we received with this storm would have been a big problem for most of them.

At this point we will be open for the weekend for the rest of the permanents and rentals. The permanents that are out there need to get up here and get their house ready to pull Sunday. We have confirmed the existing rental reservations and only have a few left if your interested.

Wheelhouse customers, both seasonal and weekend customers need to call and reserve a spot before you come up so we will have it ready for you. For weekend wheelhouses, cost when you arrive will be $100.00. That includes access fees for three calendar days. a plowed spot and a $20.00 refund when you leave the ice. Total cost will be $80.00 with the refund.  The weather is forecasting a pretty nice weekend with maybe some stronger SW winds on Saturday as it warms up. (10-20 mph with gusts to 25), But the snow has already drifted the last couple days and it really shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Especially with how wide we got the roads today.  Expect some flooding in spots as the weight of the new snow despite what ice we have might happen.  Even though the ice on the main roads is 36″ plus….off the side its only 24″ in most areas. With the added weight of the new snow on top of what was already there some flooding could occur.

I’ve seen alot worse over the years. This one wasn’t as bad as they predicted.  I’m still glad we were proactive and saved alot of work and cost for everyone out there.

Keep a Tight Line!
