Yesterday I didn’t hear too many reports from anglers. We will see if this rapid succession of weather changes along with the full moon phase does anything for the last weekend of Walleyes or not.
We are preparing to remove houses starting today as the deadline to have them off is by the end of the day on Monday so things will happen fast this weekend. 1. Permanents must be ready to pull starting Sunday morning at 8:00 am. 2. Wheelhouses in the storage lot MUST be removed from our storage lot by Saturday Feb 27th. No exceptions! If staying they will have to have make arrangements with the office and sign up for summer storage. All storing will have to leave a key for the unit and tongue lock if they have one, Give the office the FULL description of the wheelhouse and the ID numbers on it BEFORE storing. You will be showed where to park it. If we end up with wheelhouses not accounted for we will be moving them with our skidsteer, (tongue locked or not,and we will not be responsible for any damage.)
Rentals must leave by 12:00 noon Sunday so we can prep them to be pulled to shore.
I expect everyone to do their part from getting their house ready on time to removing wheelhouse out of the storage lot, or arranging for storage so we can reposition them. There has not been many times the MN DNR closes the season the day before house removal but this is one of them.
Keep a Tight Line! Eddy
