Today as fishermen left most reported that the las 24 hours the bite started picking up and some had some action. After over 72 hours of a high barometer, (some of the highest readings I had seen all winter) I think the Walleye whether there was alot of baitfish or not, they just plain had to eat and they did. Reports came from both deep and shallow water.
At 5:00 pm we pulled the last of the houses into the storage lot with the exception of one lone survivior that is going to fish until the end of the season at midnight, and will be pulled in tomorrow am.
We will remain open for Tullibee, Perch, and Northern Pike fishing as long as the weather allows. EVERYONE coming will need to call ahead whether it’s a portable or whellhouse for overnight in the Tullibee Hole. The office will not be open everyday and customers will need to call so they know if they can stop at the office or at our house on the hill. Someone will always be around, but I will be workin on the barn/office remodel or in the truck shop apt of the time.
I will continue with the report, but it will be Monday-Wednesday-Friday when I post. Cindy and I want to thank all of our customers and wanted you to know we really appreciate your patronage. We hope to see you all again next season in our restored barn which will have mens/womens bathrooms and showers, new office, and seating for 20 with pizza’s, snacks, coffee, etc. And loaded with history on the walls of our time on the ice.
Keep a Tight Line!
