February 2nd, 2021

The few out yesterday had some pretty good fishing.  From as little as 12 feet in close to shore to 28 feet farther out.  Picture were sent in of some nice sized C/R Walleye with the biggest being 26″

I started rearranging rentals for the coming weekend. With the weather change coming we are going deeper with some of them and leaving the ones that have been doing well in place.  Some anglers over the weekend started seeing Hellgrammites being ate by Perch in the deep mud areas we go to. I opened roads to the 40 foot spots in the Tullibee Hole and have moved some rentals on the deep rock/mud transitions around the Banana  just south of it also.

With the possible snow coming Wed evening thru Thursday, I’m holding off on getting driveways and spots ready until I see more what we are really suppose to get for precipitation. If we do get any amount of snow, with the colder temps following I’m pretty sure there will be some wind behind it from the NW. With the colder temp the ice will start cooling off and by Sunday when the people come off the ice they will need to really slow down, even more than they have.

The weekend wheelhouse list has started. We limit it to 50 per weekend. With the permanent  customers, rentals,  and the many seasonal wheelhouse customers, I want to have all have their space, and be able to take care of them if weather or ice conditions change during their stay.

Keep a Tight Line!          Eddy
