Thursday and today the Walleye’s did pretty good in the shallower water in late afternoon and overnight.  And this afternoon some nice ones were caught in deeper spots but they were few and far between.

About 2:30pm the ice rumbled a bit and the office got a few calls asking what was going on, but nothing serious.  It was expanding from the warm sunlight and it pushed in a couple spots.  It was a beautiful day to be out there for sure.  I’m thinking with the weather change and baro dropping it is going to be a pretty good weekend. It’s too bad more fishermen aren’t up here to enjoy it.  But that is good for those that are here I guess.

Looking back in the reservation books over the years, for some reason the weekend after the SuperBowl has always been a little bit quieter than the rest of them. Probably for many reasons I’m sure.   🙂
