February 7th, 2013

Fishing overnight was good for the ones out there.   Numerous Walleyes were caught, most too big to keep but a lot of fun.   Both the shallow rocks and deep transitions were active.  If you want the opportunity to catch some of the nicest Walleyes ever pulled thru the ice you will probably want to take advantage of this while you can over the next couple weeks before the season ends on Feb 24th.   We finally received some snow on the ice so the cracking and changes with the temperatures are less now.   I’m still waiting to cross the heave 3 miles out and I’m not sure if we will with the warmup coming again this Sunday.

I ordered prizes for the TWP Tournament  Feb 23rd this last Monday.  This year we are going to have more augers, locators, GPS’s ,fishing suits, Clams and misc fishing gear than last year.  We are hoping for a good turnout.  We are limiting the entries to 150 and so far we are at about 100.   Call the office for details and how to enter.   I’m going to be setting up a page on our website with times, rules, prize list etc. in the next day or so.

This weekend is the Vikings Arctic Blast.  They should have good weather and hopefully enough snow to run the lake.

Keep a Tight Line!!
