Yesterday the bite was pretty good.  Seen pictures of some nice Walleye and most reported activity during the morning and late afternoon.

We continued getting rentals ready and will do so again today. Rental customers will need an ATV,snowmobile, side by side or a compact SUV with all wheel drive that it’s gross weight is around 4000lbs.  No 1/2 tons, etc.  This year we are going to go by vehicle weight, and wheelhouse weight.  It’s easy to find out by googling the info.  Maybe this way fishermen will educate themselves a little on how much weight the really are putting on the ice roads.

All portable traffic will remain ATV, snowmobile, side by sides.

Seasonal wheelhouse customers with smaller single axle houses that can be pulled with an ATV or side by side can go, but will need to be able to get themselves off the roads, Within the first mile that could be a problem.  I have opened the road to the Graveyard Reef and out there it’s better going off the roads.

Today I will be working on the road to the Banana reef and other areas. We’ll see how that goes for tomorrow’s access.  Next week when the colder weather returns and we start getting more consistent ice we will be getting privates out and getting going with wheelhouses .  Watch this report for when.  It’s been a long wait for all of us. Thanks for your patience!

Keep a Tight Line!     Eddy
