January 10th, 2017

Tuesday we had about 3-4 inches of snow and the NW winds started about 10:00am. By lunchtime it was howling and pretty much a whiteout.  Most fishermen bailed, but a few stayed until later in the day when the drifting slowed. Going to be some plowing to do Wednesday…

Once again the anglers that quit jigging and went to a minnow, hook and bobber had very good results. It is really nice to see the variety of sizes in the Walleyes caught, and seeing a few more big Perch in the catch is really good I think.

Wednesday I’m going to open things up and get more houses out for the weekend.  Right now we only have two rentals open. It will be nice to see things rolling again.  It’s been a long time.  I will be checking ice depths and decide about tandem wheelhouses and big trucks tonight and put it in the report.

The Lyback/TWP Tournament is scheduled for February 25th.  Fishing hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00p.m.. Weigh in and awards will be held in the field along our entrance like last year.  Mille lacs Regs will apply.  $50.00/contestant, limited to 150 contestants, 100% payback in cash and prizes.  You must sign up, register and pay entry fee at our office.
