Yesterday the bite was pretty slow for most out there. It seemed that whether in the shallower reefs or deeper it was just plain quiet. It seems as there is some snow in the forecast as the weather warms and that might get them going.
We worked on cleaning up and widening roads and pulled permanent customers houses. And will continue the same today. It’s a long slow process with clearing areas to set houses. and establishing roads and driveway to them in areas of rough ice. but we are making progress. By the looks of it what ice we have (14-15″ thick) now. under the snow (8-12″ deep) is what we are going to have for some time and to be honest, it’s not enough if we get a big snowstorm with a large amount snow. I’ve seen it happen in the past and it is no fun.
