Friday evening and Saturday morning the fish were biting for most that were out in the rentals.  Numerous Walleye over 25″ were C/R. and some houses had up to 16 Walleye /house, Not everyone did well but the majority did.  By Saturday afternoon the bite slowed.  I will hear what the rentals did this afternoon as they check out.

Yesterday I opened up the road to the Tullibee hole and the Bank road.  After hearing the the weather forecast for next weekend,( I’m hoping they are wrong), I am going to spend time today , widening the roads I have. A possible significant amount of snow is forecast Friday with NW winds up to 30 mph on Saturday.   WCCO said as much as 12″, others forecasting lesser amounts.  Either way with the ice depths averaging around 15″ now that could cause some major “flooding” around houses due to drifts. I will be watching the forecast closely and private owners should as well.  Hoping the colder weather will push the storm south.

This week we will be starting to let single axle wheelhouses out with  weighing under 3500lbs and pickups. with a weight under 5500lbs. (9000 lbs combined)  As the ice improves so will the weight capacity. I think if all these new wheelhouse owners would realize how much weight their rigs really are they might slow down a little when they are on the ice with others.  It’s not hard to figure it out…

Keep a Tight Line!   Eddy

P.M. update…. this afternoon as the front started moving in the bite started also. We moved a couple groups to different houses and the pictures started coming in…   🙂
