Yesterday the barometer was the highest I seen so far this winter.  And the fishing showed it.  Most out there could see them but they were not interested.  It was a pretty slow bite except for Wednesday evening.  One angler did very well in 13 feet of water with nice sized Walleye.

I spent all day clearing and widening roads in prep for this weekends storm.  We got the weekend rentals ready and confirmed.  All are arriving early today and they are all going to be prepared to stay out until Sunday when the winds drop.  We cancelled all the 12-24 hour shift rentals because we are not going to be out there screwing up the roads with tracks.  I want the wind to do its thing and blow them as clean as possible.

For that reason we are not going to allow anyone else out thru our access for the weekend.  My hope is that after it’s over we will be in pretty good shape to get going.  I have been working hard on establishing good main roads and they are making ice the last few days with this cold weather.  And with very few houses out in the fishing spots farther out those areas should be blown pretty clean I’m thinking, and we can get things rolling next week.  We’ll see how it looks when it’s over.

Keep a Tight Line!!      Eddy
