Overall from what I got for reports, pictures and stories it was a pretty good weekend for most, slow for a few.  Friday night the fishermen on the shallower reefs had good luck with the Walleye.  Saturday afternoon and overnight some spots on the deeper reefs along with the shallow reefs did well.  Lots of C/R pictures were sent in.  One angler while jigging with 4lb test line C/R a 39″ Northern so he’ll have a story to tell. The Perch are almost everywhere out there. Most mainly in the 6″ range and even smaller. On the average 1 out of 10-15 is a 10″ or larger when fishing for them.  There is also an abundance of 8-12″ Walleye showing up in the catch in some areas, ( a good sign for down the road).

Our roads held up well with the traffic as the weather cooled Friday and Saturday.  The next couple days we are warming up and then Wednesday back into the deep freeze. With very strong NW winds so we will have our work cut out for us out there this week..

Our “Weekend Wheelhouse” for non-seasonal customers starts Tuesday Jan.18th at 7:00am.  You will need to call to reserve a spot as we limit the number out of our access. Those getting a spot will need to arrive and be on the ice before dark on Friday as we will not allow wheelhouses out after dark as it disturbs others out there trying to fish.

Keep a Tight Line!       Eddy
