Not as many anglers out yesterday except for the rentals. We were very busy with them. The rentals that were in deeper water and did well over the weekend were slow while the rentals in 14-21 feet did quite well. It just shows that everyday can be different. Some nice sized over slot fish were C/R too. I received some nice pictures, thank you to those that report!
Today our weekend wheelhouse list starts, so call to get on it if you would like. Our seasonal wheelhouse customers that plan on coming up for the weekend should call also. Not to get on the list, because they are regular customers, but to let us know if they want a spot plowed. There is a $20.00 charge for one and we are not going to plow a bunch of spots all over the place that might not get used. It is a waste of time, creates unnecessary road banks an ridges that trap snow and makes it harder to go into and area in the future. With 6 weekends left I’m not going to wreck a good fishing area in one weekend. If I’m going to this there is going to be some order to it and not a free for all like some. Everyone will be expected to stay at least 100 feet away from any other house and 75 feet off any of our roads. All deserve there own space.
Most wheelhouse people if they have a set of chains will be able to move around on there own. They just need to take the time to disconnect the house on the road. Go find your spot. Run a trail back and forth a couple times and then go get your house. Another good thing to bring is some blocking. some places you are going to flood depending on ice and snow depth. Bring some blocks to put under the wheels also when the house is set down.It makes it alot easier to get going if it does flood and freeze. With possible snow and wind coming Sunday keep your wheelhouse tongue to the southeast. Disconnect your vehicle and move it away from the house! Why have double the weight in the same spot? Just some helpful hints that you will thank me for someday…. 😉
Today I’m going to be pulling more privates out, and moving some rentals to new spots for the weekend.
Keep a Tight Line! Eddy
