The bite was pretty slow yesterday. Alot of small Perch action in the rental during the day and a few Walleye here and there for the evening bite. Those that texted their reports indicated that.
The next few days will be interesting out on the ice as we are going to have alot of wind, a temporary warmup, alot of wind again and a cool down for Friday, then temps about average for the weekend with some snow chances Saturday night/Sunday. With the ups and downs in temps it will be very important to drive slowly on the ice, especially those pulling wheelhouses. and when you get to your spot, stay put until you leave.
Our wheelhouse list is full so that its for this coming weekend. (There is a couple to call that left messages after hours last evening other than that its full). Remember ALL wheelhouses going out of here must be on the lake before dark. No one will be allowed out after. The list starts next Tuesday for the following weekend. If you are coming up during the weekdays, you still need to call ahead so we can plan. (See Wheelhouse Rates page on this website for more info). I will have our hands full with those and the seasonal customers for now, plus our permanents and rentals that come first.
Keep a Tight Line! Eddy
UPDATE: 5:00 p.m. Weekend wheelhouse people that are on our list for this weekend. Because of excessively strong NW winds tomorrow we may not be plowing spots for Thursday early arrivals. You need to call office first to see what our conditions are out there because you might be sitting on shore overnight until we get them open.
