First thing. Any Wheelhouse customers on our weekend list that plan on coming Thursday had better call office before coming up today. As they might not be going out when they arrive. The high winds of yesterday and the drifting that went along with it, along with what is forecast for today will more than likely delay us from getting all the spots ready. We have permanent houses, rentals and seasonal paid wheelhouses to attend to first. We’ll do the best we can but we can’t control the weather and it’s timing.
The fishing was fair from what reports I heard best depths were in the 16-24 foot range.
Most of the roads banks started sinking from the warmer weather fishermen will need to stay away from them and use caution when traveling on the roads this weekend. With the warm temps going to sub zero cold, the ice roads will be cracking and healing as it gets colder. My advice is to get out there in your spot and stay put until you go off the ice on Sunday.
Keep a Tight a Line!
Eddy
Update: 1:00 pm. Winds are starting to drop some have requested wheelhouse spots plowed Will have all rental and permanents ready by evening/early morning.
