Yesterday was a cold blustery day out on the ice. As I write this at 5:00 am it is -22 degrees, but its a dry cold..  😉 ! The rentals out overnight Wednesday did pretty good with the Walleye, many caught and released in the 24″ plus range.  Depth ranged from 17 to 32 feet.  One house during the evening C/R a big Smallmouth out on top of the Graveyard.

The snow pretty much blew off the main roads, but smaller side roads and driveways had drifting that will need to be cleaned up today.  It will be a very busy Friday.  Wheelhouses read yesterday’s report for weekend information.  With this cold ice is not a problem anymore, just the speeds that some try to drive on it so keep that in mind. We’ll be watching…

As the weather moderates we are hoping the bite will continue. The most consistent all year by far is still shallower water at night.  But many like to think deep is the place to be..  We’ll see how it goes this weekend.    🙂

Keep a Tight Line!    Eddy
