Fishermen yesterday had mixed reports.  Areas where there were alot of Perch on the camera’s had Walleye action though most small ones. Some deeper rock areas were slower. I only received a few C/R pics, Those with cameras were seeing them but hard to get them to bite. With the extreme water clarity we have out there some anglers in shallower water are blocking off their windows and going the old “darkhouse” way with some good results during the midday hours.  Lights shining down the hole can at night effect the bite also.

The wind changes from strong south winds to north winds twice this last week kept us busy with the ice roads, driveways and wheelhouse spots. by last night almost everything was ready for the weekend. With the warmer, more stable weather I expect the bite will pick up. It will be nice to have some nice weather for the weekend after the last couple.

Weight restrictions for vehicle/wheelhouse combos are over for now. There is over 20″ of ice on most roads and 16″-18 “under the snow in most areas. ALL  vehicles,  (cars, truck, trucks with wheelhouses) will be limited to less than 10 mph while traveling on roads we have established. Excess speed on the roads is damaging to them and can make it unsafe for others following after you.

Keep a Tight Line!
