Yesterday I started receiving more C/R pictures, so the bite must have picked up for some. Deep water and shallow produced in some spots. The tops and sides of reefs were covered with small Perch from the pictures I received also. To put it plainly, the Walleye are eating well.
The weather is staying calm and fairly stable the next few days. It is nice to have a “nice” weekend out there after the last couple.
All wheelhouses that are not seasonal customers need to call ahead to get on the reservation list as we do not take “drive-in’s”. All wheelhouses must arrive and be on the ice before dark. No after dark access is allowed. Our customers, permanents, rental, and seasonal wheelhouses appreciate it and it keeps things quiet. And these days with water clarity the bite seems to be more in the evening in most of the areas we fish.
Keep the speeds on the ice roads down under 10 mph. Bring in what you take out and keep it off the ice. We have garbage dumpsters on shore and for $2.00 a bag you can drop it when checking out at office. “Keep it Clean” out there!
Keep a Tight Line! Eddy
