Yesterday the bite was overall pretty quite for most. The better catches were Friday evening before daybreak.  Some of the deeper areas were starting to see more Perch action than the last few days so I’m thinking some are looking deeper for a food source.  But still there are literally thousands of small  4″-6″ Perch on the tops and sides of the shallower reefs.  Still received some nice C/R pics of Walleye from customers and some video of a huge northern going for an 8″ sucker and changing it’s mind at the last minute.

The weather was really nice outside and alot were out and about.  Many portable fishermen were moving around.  Fishermen from some areas were “road jumping” to other areas which can always lead to problems.  When the weather is nice it’s easy, but it starts a trail and then a bunch end up in and area maintained from another resort. and can lead to problems for all involved.  It is much better to patronize the resort that maintains roads in the area you choose to fish, and likewise for a resort to suggest fishermen patronize the other resort if a customer wants to fish an certain area they are not going to.   We’ve had that policy at our place for years and practiced it.  It’s just called respect for others, that’s all it is.    But these days it seems for some the “bite is always better on the other side of the road”….
