Yesterday we had quite a few anglers out for the day with portables 5 rentals occupied. Fishing reports were mixed with alot of anglers catching numerous Perch, but mostly small. The deeper “basin” areas had the best action for “keeper” Perch and smaller Walleyes.  I heard of three Walleyes C/R that were 26″- 27″, and a couple reports of “linebreakers”,I presuming Northern.  But all in all I would say it was a little slower than Friday.

The ice conditions remain the same with the average depth about 8-9 inches in the rougher ice closer to shore and 6-7 inches in the smoother ice farther out.  The temperatures just haven’t been cold enough to drive the ice down like we would want.  It is going to be awhile before we get bigger houses out or let anyone drive anything but ATV/Snowmobile. I was hoping to have enough ice for this coming weekend but that is up in the air as of now.

Keep a Tight Line!
