Anglers that went out yesterday did pretty good. Most Walleye were caught in 15-20 feet of water on the shallower reefs. Some anglers went to the deeper edges and did OK also.  Seen numerous keepers and got some nice  pictures of C/R Walleye.  The rentals do pretty good too.

The cold overnight temps, ( 4 degrees)  was enough to crack some of the roads and start sinking some of the road banks in some spots. But it made some more ice on them.  As of yesterday, ice depth on the roads was between 13″-14″ inches on roads that had been plowed for a week.  New roads were at 11″-12″. I pulled houses yesterday and will continue today.  This morning the temps are at 21 degrees so it didn’t get too cold overnight.

We are going to let small cars, mini-SUVs, etc. on the roads starting today.  Single axle wheelhouses with ATV’s or side by sides. One customer questioned weights so here is what we are going to do.  A vehicle that weighs up to 5000lb gross weight, (approx), or a wheelhouse with ATV that approx. weighs the same is the limit for now.  Most houses I am pulling out are in the limit also. As private houses go out you will be contacted.

I have roads to all the reefs we normally go to (see Map) and the east gravel bar 3.5 miles out.  From the Banana Reef on is ATV only until we get more ice.

Keep a Tight Line!       ,
