The weekend turned out pretty good for most that came out.  The weather was beautiful on Saturday. Many portable fishermen showed for the day. Some even stayed in their portables overnight.  Even though the temps were warm there was little melting on the lake,  Alot of the seasonal wheelhouse customers brought their house for the season, and we manged to rent the majority of our rentals.  For us, even though we have had ice for sometime, was our first busy weekend compared to those in the bays, and there is hopefully 7 good weekends to make up for the lost weekends earlier.

The fishing was pretty good for most. Many reports of 10-15 Walleye per house, some more, some less. Very few had poor luck with nothing.  Numerous Walleye C/R over 28″ and a 38″ Northern C/R on Sunday.

Overnite we have received some freezing drizzle and as i write I can see the reflection of a coat of ice on the snow.  That is going to be a big plus come Tuesday when the NW wind blows 40 mph by preventing drifting around the houses.

Keep a Tight Line!!     Eddy
