Today I am continuing pulling and setting up rentals for the weekend.  The cold the last 24 hours really helped the slush situation on the ice in the first mile out.  There still is 3-6 inches of hard snow on top but the slush below is pretty much froze.  I’ve chosen to put our houses in those areas for the weekend.  Most will range from 14′ to 20′ depths.

Renters will need ATV, snowmobile, or a compact SUV to get to rentals. Basically no vehicles over 4000lbs. If you don’t know your vehicles weight.. Google it.  We will not be allowing any other vehicle traffic which means…   no wheelhouses with ATV’s.  no portable vehicles except side by sides, ATV’s and snowmobiles.  After the weekend and we see more consistent temperatures we will be pulling more privates and establishing more roads we will re- assess and go from there.

I said this earlier and I will say this again.  There are a lot of varying ice conditions around the lake, and every one in this business knows what is out in front of them and are doing their best out there for their customers.   Some have better ice than others. Some have different limitations than others.  This year has been one of the more difficult ones to deal with ice conditions for along time and we are not in the clear yet.  Impatience will not make the ice freeze…

Keep a Tight Line!
