March 29th, 2018

A couple anglers went out yesterday and tried for Tullibee and Perch. They were seeing schools of Tullibee on the locators but did not have any action.  Not sure what is going on except there is not a larvae hatch or it’s done.

Yesterday was the first day the roads got wet out there after our last 2-3 inch snowfall. This morning it was close to zero so I’m sure everything froze again. It sounds like we are in an area of 4-6 inches of snow for Easter weekend so we will probably not open up again for this year.

If you want to give it a try, please call the day before you would like to come and we will let you know what it’s like. With as much a three plus feet of ice and 6-12 inches of snow out there this ice-out might be another late one. It would be a good thing for the spawning Walleye and Perch to spawn without being interfered with.

Please look at the March 20th-26th post in the archives and share with your fishing friends.  This is an important year, (being election year for everyone down in the St.Paul swamp), to try and change what apparently is Minnesota’s government lack of concern for it’s natural resources and tourism industry.

Keep a Tight Line!!     Eddy
