Today was the first ice we seen when daybreak arrived. It will be quite awhile yet before any ice on the main lake will be ready to go, but at least its a start. We’ll see what the weather brings…I’m sure there will be someone trying to get out on the ice in the bays the next week, but nothing is going to be happening here until at the least mid December. I will keep you up to date on the report, (which I will be starting post daily beginning Monday)
Over the last few days I’ve decided to not open our new office/showers for the season. Mainly because we will be unable to until issues with plumbing and permitting are resolved.
We will keep the Red House 4 season porch as our office for at least the start of the season and hopefully as it progresses. issues get resolved, we will open for the remainder of the season. It’s a huge disappointment for Cindy and I, especially after putting in so much time and money into it and trying to do things right. Only to find out that if a contractor closes it’s doors you lose your permit and have to start over again. (Not so easy to do in the middle of things.) Anyways it is what it is and we’ll get thru it.
Keep a Tight Line!
