Yesterday we had 10 groups of anglers that went out. From what reports I didn’t get I’m presuming it was quiet out there yesterday. The couple reports I received indicated that with small Perch and Walleye.
Ice depths did not change much with the temps above freezing and probably won’t until after this week’s storm passes. Currently the ice within the first mile is 9-10″ thick and beyond the ice ridge is variable between 7″-9″. We are sticking with ATV’s\Snowmobiles/Portables until after Tuesday\Wednesday’s storm and will decide what to do after it.
From what I’ve been seeing from different forecasters we are on the line between rain\sleet\snow. Temperature will control this one. The less snow at this point obviously the better as colder temps are on the way after and going into the following week. How nice it would be to have Rentals and permanents out by “Christmas Week”! It’s been awhile…
Be Safe,
Eddy
