3:30 pm. Yesterday the bite was pretty slow for the few out there. Today with the wind and weather we kept anglers off the lake. We marked roads and cleaned up areas thru the rough ice piles. And now we wait….
We “officially” are in a “winter storm warning” area from the NOAA. their prediction is for possible sleet and snow from 6-10 inches tonight and 2-4 inches tomorrow. Very strong East winds 20-25 with gusts to 40 mph. A little let up and then and additional 1-3 inches on Thursday then starting to turn cold. We are on the north edge of the warning, but who knows what will happen. Right now it is raining and with the temps so far I’m hoping for rain. the more rain, the less snow..
We are just going to wait it out, see what it looks like after it and make plans from there. I’m glad we don’t have houses out thru this with the ice we have. Currently in close, (the first 3/4 mile) we have about 10 inches and for the next 2 miles out it averages 7-9 inches. So we are hoping for the best. Time will only tell…
Be Safe!
