Yesterday was spent reopening and widening existing roads. We found a few areas where it had flooded out and froze that were hard enough to cross. I will be continuing to expand the existing roads where the ice is thicker and hold off to going out farther for a day or two..
Fishing reports from anglers were mostly small Walleye and Perch, but some of the Perch were decent sized. With the warmer weather coming we’ll see if it changes things out there.
Today I will be pulling our first small rentals out as we have some rented tomorrow. They will be in areas that have flooded and froze so there will be sufficient ice depths. Fortunately some of the flooded areas are good fishing spots for this time of year.
It will be a challenge this year until we get more ice.
Be Safe!
