Anglers yesterday had pretty good action out there. Lots of Walleyes were caught by some, mostly small. Although a few slot fish were caught.  One rental C/R a 36″ Northern and were busy with Perch most of the day. Portable anglers with  ATV’s were able to make their way thru and over the drifts out in areas we will be going to in the future.

With this weekends warmer temps we are going to keep with the ATV, snowmobile traffic. We are going to have our smaller rentals out.   We will allow vehicles out to them that are under a GVW of 5000lbs.  Nothing larger.  When the weather is above freezing and a road cracks from traffic does not heal and I’m not going to take that chance during this time.

Ice depths out farther are between 11″-13″ and areas where it cracked and flooded for the most part have froze up and are obviously thicker.  Portable anglers out farther yesterday reported flooding everywhere they popped a hole except for previously flooded areas. So there is a ways to go yet, but as long as snow stays out of the forecast for awhile we’ll get there.

Be Safe!
