The anglers out yesterday had mixed reports. The morning bite was really slow for most. Some that came portable fishing early were leaving by noon. Those staying that came in for lunch and the few that went out in the afternoon for the evening bite did quite well. One rental C/R a 40″ Northern and was busy all afternoon with Perch and small Walleye with his largest Walleye at 15″ C/R. Another angler brought his Granddaughter for the afternoon and she caught her first 24″ Walleye C/R. and some “keeper” Perch . Another group that had poor luck in the morning went back out and did very well in the afternoon so there was obviously a barometer change.
We will continue with only allowing vehicles under 5000 GVW out to our small rentals thru the weekend. All other traffic will be ATV, Snowmobile, SxS with portables. Small wheelhouses under 14″ pulled by your own ATV will be allowed also. (Most cases you will need a spot plowed by us) . Absolutely no fishing on or within 100 feet of the road or any other house out there!! That goes for portable fishermen also.
I\m going to work on getting out farther the next few days and get some decent roads established, And wait for colder weather and hopefully not much more snow.
Keep a Tight Line!
