December 4th, 2022

We had another night of almost zero so the main lake ice should be making some progress. Yesterday’s Modis Satellite picture show the lake mostly ice covered with some small areas of water appeared open.

I won’t be taking a walk out to check ice depths until tomorrow. But I’m sure the first 200 yards along the shoreline has 4-6 inches just from the time it has been there.  The ice beyond is only 48 hours old so it will be considerably less. Tuesday morning I will let you know what I found.

I’m anticipating that we will open the access by the weekend for walk-out and maybe ATV’S to some areas depending on ice depths. There will be alot of work ahead getting roads started this year as there is quite a bit of rough stuff out there from what I can see. But I’ve seen much worse over the years..

This year our new office will be in the restored Barn instead of the Red House by the lake. So make sure you stop there instead of driving by it like in the past.  We will have ATV parking back along the driveway as usual and fishermen that are walking can park up by the Red House in the usual areas  Check-in at the new office first for your access fee and map and we’ll go from there.

Be Safe
