Yesterday the shallow water with the bright sunlight the bite slowed. Except for the Northern Pike. Fishermen seen them around and one fishermen C/R a 40″. In the afternoon a couple of my workers took the time and went out in 28′-30′ feet along the pressure ridge and caught some in the. slot Walleye..  One rental in 26′ even noticed how bright it was at that depth with their camera. with the water clarity as it is these days it makes a big difference on the bite.

Ice conditions are still good and I expect them to remain that way over the weekend, even with the warmer weather. Forecasters are predicting the northern half of Minnesota to be cloudy most of the time which will slow the thaw.

We have some rentals still available with the Valentine/Presidents Day Special we have going this weekend. Call the office for details.
