Not much to report from yesterday afternoon and overnight as few were out there. The barometer is dropping with the approaching rain/snow event coming Tuesday and Wednesday.
The weather forecast says we are to receive a 1/4″-1/2″ of rain tomorrow and turning to snow Wednesday, then going in the deep freeze till the weekend. The warm weather we have had has been followed by freezing temps at night so far and on the lake there hasn’t been much melting that hasn’t refroze. The rain followed by the cold forecasted shouldn’t do any thing to the ice and if anything, after it freezes will strengthen the roads as the water will fill in all the cracks that were there before it started. It will diminish the snow pack and what’s left will be hard as a rock. Hopefully we will get some snow for fresh banking around the houses as most will need it.
This weekend (Feb 18th-19th), ALL wheelhouses that have been in our storage lot this season will need to check with the office as the on shore parking area will change to the NE side of the storage lot to prepare for permanents coming off the following week. Some are already there. ALL seasonal wheelhouses that aren’t signed up for summer storage will need to be removed from our storage lot no later than Feb 26th. Permanent house owners need to have their accounts settled up this weekend (Feb18th-19th) as it will be pulled the weekend of the 25th-26th or earlier if bad snowstorm is headed our way.
Keep a Tight Line!
