February 14th, 2023

Last evening the few that were out overnight expecting a good bite got the opposite instead.  Some didn’t even mark anything in some spots.  This morning as the sprinkles started some had some action, but for most it was quiet.

So far we haven’t received much as far as rain. The roads are holding up well and I’m expecting from watching the radar most of the moisture is shifting east and the edge of the colder temps is working our direction.  It won’t be too long and things will start freezing and hopefully we get some fresh snow for banking over the next 24 hours.  By Thursday the temps will drop below zero overnight and things should freeze up well, and we will be getting things ready for the weekend.

Reminders:  Seasonal wheelhouses that are not stored for the summer will need to move to the NE side of storage lot for the last week and will need to be removed no later than Feb 26th. We will be pulling permanents in starting the 26th and finishing up by the 28th and will need the space.  Those paying for summer storage will need to be signed up and paid by the 26th to keep your wheelhouse here. Permanents will need to have their accts  settled by no later than the 26th also.  We will be keeping roads to Northern Pike areas and the Tullibee Hole open as long as the ice is good in March for anglers on a day by day basis. You will want to watch the report for info. on accessibility for portables and wheelhouses as things can change quickly in March sometimes.

Keep a Tight Line!
